IndusCo, Ltd. of Greensboro, NC has introduced a patented, EPA approved, revolutionary new weapon to prevent the growth of an amazingly wide array of bacteria, mold, mildew, algae, and yeast. This weapon, BioShield® 75, acts as a bed of microscopic spikes that pierce the cell walls of these microbes. This product is not a cleaner nor a disinfectant, but instead is a totally new approach to providing lasting antimicrobial protection.
Typical antibacterial agents now available work like poisons, leaching into these microbes and disrupting one or more of their vital functions. The problems with this mechanism are 1) the chemical poisons are quickly exhausted or wear off the surface being protected, thus requiring almost constant reapplication and 2) the hardier microbes that survive can mutate and flourish even in the presence of these poisons.
Here is how BioShield® 75 is different. One end of its molecule creates a strong bond with a multitude of surfaces, forming a highly durable protective coating. The other end of the molecule forms a microscopic bed of molecular spikes which puncture microbes just as the spike strips law enforcement officers lay across the highway puncture the tires of fugitives' vehicles. Since BioShield® 75 physically ruptures the cell walls of these microbes, there are no poisons to be exhausted and no "super bugs" are created.
These spikes are long, pointed chains of atoms that are big enough to pierce the cell walls of various microbes. Being only about one millionth the diameter of a human hair, they are too small to harm the larger cells of mammals. Additionally, these chains of atoms carry a strong positive charge that attracts and executes negatively charged bacteria. Once dry, BioShield® 75 is non-poisonous to humans and animals. BioShield® 75 has been found to be effective against a huge array of microbes, including Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli, various Salmonella strains, black mold, athlete's foot, and Influenza A, as well as a host of others.
